    4. How is Levolor mounted? The sensor is located anywhere you can get an accurate whater level measurement. The Levolor controller box is mounted at the equipment. The kit includes 50 ft. of wire. The wire must be continuous from sensor to controller with no splices. This wire and sensor should not be submerged under water at any time. There are two suggested methods - static pipes or in the skimmer basket.

    5. Will code require an anti-syphon valve? Yes.

    6. How do you attach the sensor to the side of the skimmer? Waterproof Epoxy or Silicone.

    7. How do you run the wire from the sensor to the equipment area? The manufacturer supplies 50 feet of wire embedded into the sensor. The manufacturer suggests the customer put the wire inside 1/2 inch coduit pipe to the equipment pad. With new installation the manufacturer supplies wire up to 200 ft. long. This wiremust be continuous from the sensor to the controller. This wire cannot be spliced anyplace except at the controller, it must be continuous from the sensor tips to control center. The sensor wire should not be placedin any pipe (e.g., Suction or Return line) which is supposed to hold water.

    8. Are the wire and sensor available in white? No.

    9. Do some codes require copper plumbing for the solenoid valve? No.

    10. Is there a particular solenoid valve you recommend that is reliable? See our On Line Store for valves we recommend.

    11. What maintenance is required? R&R solenoid actuator every five years.

    12. What product improvements have been made since inception? Indicator lights; potted sensor; changed timig from 1 min. to 15 sec.; changed resistor values to measure softer water; went from 1 probe to 2; changed the brass sensors to stainless steel...

    13. How does the sensor mount for Negative Edge decorative features? See installation manual. It is different from a regular pool.

    14. Does it include solenoid valve (this would make a complete package)? No, however, solenoid valves are available in our On Line Store.

    15. Can the Levolor be sold as a switchable 110/220 vac in the same controller (like pool motors)? Some of the models are and some are not. See our catalog.

    16. Will Levolor help sell more decorative features? Yes. Levolor automatically cares for what is otherwise an annoying part of routine maintenance. Its an important piece of the carefree environment consumers want.

    17. Why do I need an automatic water level controller? Automating this part of routine care allows owners to reduce their maintenance time and enjoy their decorative water features more.

    18. How hard is it to install? Levolor can be easily installed on any new or existing decorative water feature. No modifications are needed to the pool surface or structure, and a licensed electrician and plumber can install it in about an hour.

    19. Does Levolor meet NEC codes? Yes, Levolor is ETL listed. 5,500 have been installed on cooling towers, pools, spas and water features in the USA in the last four years without any problems with local codes.

    20. What's the advantage of an electronic controller over a toilet bowl float valve? Levolor has no moving parts to malfunction. It also electronically compensates for waves, so that pools will not overfill. In addition, installation is easier because no extra holes need to be cut or dug in or around the deck (as a float bowl would require) or inside the water feature.

    21. What is the warranty on Levolor? Levolor is fully warranted by the manufacturer.

    22. How reliable is Levolor? Very reliable. Levolor's solid state electronic controls are worry-free and require no regular maintenance.

    23. If refilling is automatic, how can I tell if there's a leak? Consumers can tell if there is a leak by checking their monthly water bill.

    24. Can the Levolor be used on 220V three phase? No, all products available can be either 110/220 single phase.

    25. What are the implications for use in salt water pools? It is OK to use in salt water pools.
